Hey guys,
I had my car sitting for a few days a while back and it was leaking a reddish orange tint fluid which looked transmission fluid or coolant and it stopped for a while. I had it on a lift today and it started doing it again and it was dripping from one of the skid plates and the front side of the transmission and smelled like coolant to me but I can’t figure out where it’s coming from and what might be causing it. The car isn’t running hot or weird at all either. Any help is appreciated, thank you in advance!!

Reddish orange could be coolant fluid depending on your model year.

Check all coolant hoses and make sure clamps are tight. Check the nipples coming off the coolant overflow tank for any damages or cracks. Lastly, get under the car and see if you see any staining or fluid at the snout of the water pump coming down the front timing cover. Most water pumps have a weep hole under the snout and when they start to go bad, coolant seeps from this point.

Trans fluid will be bright solid red, not orange and will be semi-thick like oil, not watery like coolant.

Good evening my friend.
I too have a 17 gt with 52,000 miles.
Recently had same happen, and got my mechanic guys to check on the lift, and found it was the plastic end tanks on the factory radiator.
I have replaced many on older cars when I worked the trade and understand the problem with extremes in hot/cold
I had them install a SOLID all aluminum performance radiator, not cheap, but worth it, and no more prob.
I didn't find my problem til I parked it with nose down at my buddies place, and found the puddle.
I hope this helps.
If you have a lift, and good with tools, it looks do able, but I'm way too old and stiff to crawl around under stuff like this.
Finally got money-some- and don't need the pain!
Have a great evening. Dave F
