All this info on the factory system hurts my brain lol... Sorry for creating a thread on this in advance. Ok so I have a 2017 gt premium with 9 speaker shaker system. I did forscan and set this to ACM 727-01-02 00xx. I had shop install sub amp and sub other day. They tied into the left front door bottom speaker after amp.. I still get base roll off. Any ideas? Thank you in advance. Ive been reading through all this stuff but I just get confused.

You added an amp and sub and they tied into the front door for signal? Why wouldnt they just go to the speakers in the rear deck? That's where I grabbed my signal for my sub. If I may ask, what amp and sub?

They said they did it because the lower door speaker puts out lower frequency signal. The amp I got was the Kicker CX800.1 and sub was 10' Cerwin Vega Vega series in ported box. Sounds really nice except the bass roll off or whatever is happening.

You should grab the signal _before_ the stock amplifier in any shaker system, not at any speaker.
My goodness... the S550 is available since 2015 and shops still don't know this 8 years later!

Thank you for the info. I told them I think they wired it wrong. I'm irritated
Because they said they can't fix it for two more weeks because they are busy. Great customer service. Maybe I'll do it myself. I'm just not sure which wires to hook up to before the amp

This may help:
Read Post #1

Read from Post #6 onward. I talk about just hooking up a sub system using the rear speaker outputs as signals.

Thank you I'm gonna read this. Would the fact that they tied in after the amp be causing me bass roll off though. I already did the forscan and made it double 0

The main problem with tieing in into the speaker lines is that the stock amplifier starts to clip badly at around volume lvl 17-18 afaik (latest at 20). So when tieing in after the amp you're limiting your possible adjustment range on the volume and risk damaging your speakers by accident.
Your bass roll off problem could simply be compression caused by this.
And the ForScan thing just changes the frequency response _before_ the amplifier, i.e. from the ACM to the stock amp, but the stock amp has a very very basic non configurable DSP built in, so you might still experience bass roll off just like you will always have a non-defeatable variable bass boost with 727-01-02 set to 00xx-xxxx-xxxx.

^^^ This.
@rcboxer Take your signal from the head unit, BEFORE the amp. Use a T harness so you don't need to cut any wires. Or as I explained to another forum member in my other post, tie into the rear speaker connections and go direct into your Kicker amp high-level inputs. Those are the only 2 ways to do an add-on sub correctly. Find a better install shop. Sorry but they are clueless.

I might have to try rear speaker connection. They hooked up today to front left door speaker before amp and still get bass roll off. 😒

Measure the output from the ACM. With the AsBuilt setting you posted there should be no bass roll off from the bass.
There are enough people that measured the actual output.
You should however have a variable bass boost below 100Hz with lower volume settings on the ACM.

This!!! I used a idatalink maestro with a Rockford Fosgate DSR1 with after market amps, sub, and interior speakers. No bass rolloff
