Another stab at the 6th Gen Camaro. This time merging my own 2013 Z28 Concept into the Transformers 4 Bumblebee Camaro. I will work on it when I can. The rear looks like it will be the hardest to modernize BUT, anything is possible once I get the pics in clay.
EDIT: New Concept direction 4/23. Based on Car and Drivers 2016 Camaro Concept (Based on the Chevy Code 130R)
I will update the Original Post RIGHT HERE VVVVVVVVVV When I leave off...
The parent fascia will be from this Transformers 4 Bumblebee Camaro. Kinda odd looking on the 5th Gen body, seemed kinda pinched.
My original Color Print... I have already removed some mass from the 5th Gen in this concept. A great deal to be exact. Remember, this concept still maintains the 5th Gens 112in. That could be a potential problem once you put it on the scales. Lowering the WB down to Mustang size will be too close to the Corvette, it will also leave no backseat room with traditional Short-Long Arm IRS. I'm afraid 6 extra inches is almost required for comfortable back seats.
Here is a comparison vs. the 2006 Camaro Concept (2010 is wrong, look at the side mirrors). The doors were sectioned (chopped) and the rear overhang was shortened to almost Corvette levels. I'll pat myself on the back and move on.
The initial clay of the concept's fascia (Camaro6a). It's crude and its suppose to be, only minor details are added to help aid in the direction. You will instantly see the upper grill slot has already been widened.
This is a design cue that I want to isolate. This perticular 3/4 stance is very nice and very streamlined. The intial clay may have been crude but this element has already surfaced... Lots to do here... I see some 2nd Gen here, lots of 5th as well.
Another element that didn't quite match up in the initial clay with the other half. Alone however, it brings back some IROC Z and 5th Gen at the same time.
I'll continue to plug away at the fascia, there is a lot that needs straightened out. Please let me know whats up and any suggestions are welcomed. Just focus on the fascia for now, I plan on converting the rear later on ONLY if the fascia evens out.
