Hi everyone new here and when calling dealer to order a 2016 they said Ford is not taking in orders yet for them so how are you guys doing it?

Not true. Either your salesman doesn't want your business or he just started on the job today. Quite a few of us here are awaiting our VIN's, so it means FORD is indeed taking orders.

On Thursday the 18th I did it. I went to Galpin Ford in LA and put $1000 down to order a 2016 Ecoboost Premium A/T. Here's my order list:
2016 EcoBoost Premium Automatic

- Performance Package
- Reverse Sensing System
- Adaptive Cruise package
- Voice-Activated Navigation

My guy there said orders get sent to Ford Every Wednesday, so I should have an order number by then.

I went to three different dealerships and each time the salesman had to clarify I meant to say '16, and then said they weren't taking orders, but I told them to check with their manager and so each of them learned something new that day.

They are certainly taking orders, just make sure they check with their sales manager.

Turns out my dealer ordered me a '16 Ecovert, I sacrifice a few weeks for sync 3, seems like a fair trade

So... I ordered my car a week ago from a. Smaller
ford dealer.

I called yesterday to retrieve my order #. My salesman checked for me and said they don't have the order number. Stated that thier system updates once a week?


Does this sound right?

Kind of. Ford accepts orders once a week on Thursdays so your dealer should have an order number for you by Friday. Now which Friday is the question.

Given the Sync 3 addition, is the actual Nav. system/software being changed as well?
