2016 Mustang changes?

They start producing on August 3rd. I would assume most of the first builds are all pre-ordered ones (like myself ), but I would think that there would be regular cars on the lots by the end of August.

Actually, the first couple weeks of each new model year are stock units for dealer inventory. Customer (retail) orders don't get scheduled until after the "okay to buy" is given by Ford. That way, any kinks or issues with early production only affect dealer units, not special orders for customers.

That said, I expect stock units to start arriving in late August, with customer orders to start showing up in mid-September at the soonest.

+1 on the hate of black wheels. Looks like something a 12 year old would do. It just shows that we're too old. As a side note: Last night there was a guy getting out of a C7 next to us when we pulled into a Chili's last night. He was really checking out the 'stang! He said: "I think I made a mistake, I should have bought one of those". I said: "yeah, you could have two of these for what that cost!"

The black wheels are OK in my book as long as the color of the vehicle works well with them. Some amount of contrast is necessary for things to look "their best" .. so to speak.

I ordered a Guard EB and the PP wheels looked terrible with it.

Had I got maybe Ingot Silver, White, or even Magnetic, perhaps the PP wheels would have been a decent match.

I hope all the kinks and problems are mitigated on the early cars considering this is the second year. This is probably going to be easier said than done all I need to do is find a magnetic GT Premium PP with the enhanced security package and I'm in business.

hopefully when my lease is up in March 2018 the Mustang GT gets a weight reduction, refreshed front and rear end and a 15+hp bump and some other tweaks and upgrades to the suspension. I'm almost sure Ford will do that to the '17 or '18 model year to keep up with the Camaro

I don't think so. I found a generic build tool on Auto Blog, linked to an article about how the Mustang was ahead of Camaro sales in June.

Guess we've got to wait a while longer... :(

Yeah I want special options (DIB PP with Red Premium Leather) so I had to order mine. I missed the order banks for the 15s by 3 weeks....
