I'm getting so antsy waiting for the 2016 info to become official so I can start true negotiations with dealers. Obviously the pricing will be similar to the 2015s but even tiny differences in options and packages can make a big impact on final price. I want to walk into my dealer of choice on May 11th with the price already negotiated so I can just order and start obsessing over COTUS.
Why? What option do you think they will add in 2016 that you must have that is not currently available?
There will be the normal "price increase" with a new model year-annual inflation. No incentives on 16s off the bat...Order a 2015 now...by the time it arrives 15 incentives may have gone up.... Yes the 16 gives you a year newer car (that will be just like the 15)...but if $$ are that much in issue... You also lose the summer driving season... which may or may not be important where you live.

I want Sync 3, which is why I'm waiting for the 2016s. I would be fine with MFT on the 2015s but Sync 3 is more desirable b/c of its' upgradeability. Theoretically it could look completely different in 2 years via an OTA update. Can't do that with MFT.

Also, I'm trying to save up more money for a large down payment. If I bought a 2015 now my monthly payments would be too high for my liking... also, it's always summer driving season in south Florida. It's rare to NOT have a day where it's ~80 degrees.

Has there been any more news on the options packaging for 2016? I'm still hoping for a PP/auto or PP/convertible, but the longer I hang out, the less likely it seems that it's going to happen.

Great reasons and smart move on the down payment plan!

Anyone else having issues with the Fordpartner website and X-plan build & price website? It's been wonky all day as if some update is around the corner. Do you think 2016 details will be released this week or am I just being too optimistic?

You can get an auto PP coupe or convertible with the Ecoboost. Otherwise, the only new GT package I've heard of is the return of the California Special for MY16.

I'm really hoping for a HUD option for the '16s. I'll be buying a 2016 for Sync 3 anyway but HUD would just be icing.

My 1990 Olds Cutlass Supreme had HUD and it sucked then.....lol

Guess they aren't doing anything like the Boss 302 or Mach 1 in 2016 maybe 2017 then. Oh well

Woah now! I've not given up hope yet! What if it's one of those special Ford Performance vehicles we haven't seen yet?

I think Ford is playing it smart and wants to keep all the buzz on the GT350 and GT350R for 2016. I'm thinking they will release another one of those SVT vehicles in 2017 probably the Mach 1. Makes more sense the more I think about it.

The Mach 1 is the one Mustang I've only dreamed of owning. I'm praying for a 2017 Mach 1.:paddle:
It will be sooo worth the wait if it comes to fruition. :D

Expect it to have the 3.5EB.

Waiting on the 2016s myself. My dealer is getting annoyed with me for hanging around so much.

The only thing I'm very unsure of. There will be a firestorm equivalent to Pompeii if the Mach 1 is released with the 3.5EB, and having a V6 above a V8 GT. And I'd be dissapointed, as I always dreamed of having a new Mach 1 with a V8 and not a V6, but That's probably what will be the case. I don't doubt that it'd be an amazing car, but it could possibly be too different for me to handle, and I've never had a Mustang before. It'd have to sound like the new GT 3.5EB for me to like it, cams and turbo whistle, and not like a vacuum cleaner like the current EB sounds stock. I can only sit back and watch what happens...

I'm praying that they get it right, V8 or V6.:frusty:

NNNNOOOOOOOOOO :tsk: okay after getting that out of my system. How would this car be priced though? Ecoboost engines are more or less expensive than a v8?

Nope. 3.5 EB won't see the S550 chassis.
2015 50th and intro of the S550 platform.
2016 CS return as appearance package and GT350/GT350R
2017 continue CS and add Mach1 or Bullitt appearance package, I wouldn't expect both. I4 and V8 massaged for a few extra HP/TQ
