Standalone torsen 3.73 is interesting. I just wish you could get torsen/3.55/non-PP.
And of course, that you could get that on a V6.

Do you know if the PP can be equipped to select 3.55 gears instead of the 3.73s? Literally this is my only hesitation with the PP - I don't really like the 3.73s for DD.
Remember the PP tires are slightly taller, the net gearing is very very similar to the 3.55/non-PP gearing.

I pray for a glass roof one day
It will be here in a few years I'm certain.

And actually, I pray for a few more years w/out it so I can enjoy my '15 longer and not have to trade in because I want one too :D

Don't count on it. Glass brings a lot of weight to the car.

I remember Pericak or someone saying, when specifically asked if the '15 would have a glass roof option, he said "not yet" or something to that tune indicating it was coming.

I can't find the interview, and may have wishful thinking, but I'd be surprised if we don't see one in the next 2 years.

I would kill for a proper sunroof. It boggles my mind that that's not offered, although obviously it would destroy rear headroom.

Video was with Steve Ling

and the part in question is here;

While there was after the fact hesitation on the glass roof, it appears to me that the real hesitation was on the sunroof.
I know that the glass roof was not a great seller and due to rollover requirements, VERY expensive. I suspect new requirements making the glass more expensive, while new packaging makes the cloth top less expensive puts them on opposite sides of where they should be. My money is still on the 1st refresh seeing the end of the V6, a bump of power to the V8 and I4 and the addition of a sunroof.

Thanks for finding that! And I know it's not a performance adding feature but I'd pay $2k for it if priced the same as the previous models.

Also Saleen has it as an option on their Black Label, with another option for frost touch privacy so who knows what is coming.

I remember reading about that in the press release about the black label, have they actual shown their production version of this? With all the financial trouble they've been having I'm feeling a bit skeptical they'll be able to deliver on the roof.

+1 on this, it only makes sense considering that the other two cars in the mustangs segment both offer sunroofs.

I think that the black roof option might be their 'solution' for the glass roof unfortunately. I know many liked the look of a blacked out top. But I don't foresee any glass roof coming till the mid-cycle refresh in 2017.

Well we know it's not coming in 2016 so I'm cool with it in 2017, and yeah the blacked out roof looks amazing on white/red/orange.

LOVE the '13-14 GTCS with glass roof.

Guess the Roush points to the direction we can expect of the new California Special.........revised from fascia, new wheels, side vents, billet grille.......

Maybe....

I don't see Ford putting out something like Roush or adding tacky side pieces that look plastered on.

I think the CS special will be much more unique and blend in with the car. Don't be surprised to see some cool looking modern LED Fogs possibly on the outer upper fangs.
