Is the 2016 order guide still available somewhere? Local dealer getting a tech pack car and I wanted to see the details before I consider it. I'd rather have a track pack car but was considering taking what I could get.

Having a tech pack is not a big deal if you don't intend to track the car. However, resale *may* not be as high as a track pack because of the cooling issue.

If you want a track pack car, find one or wait for a '17

Yup I say go for a 2017 model... if that 2016 Tech pack is below msrp and you'll never ever track your car then maybe worthwhile. But as stated shoot for a 2017 model.

I think the 2016 order guide is now gone from this forum(?) but what questions did you have in mind or were looking for? Many of us here can help you.

get a 2017.

2016 tech pack, that transmission gets warm. Ohio temps have risen and your looking at temps 40-60 degrees over track pack in spirited driving and probably 10 min worth of track time if your lucky this summer.

If you want all OEM stuff you'd need to swap out the transmission. Everything else is bolt in. (except maybe software updates.) There are 3rd party solutions available, found in these forums. Ford is also (supposedly) working on a solution for Tech Pack owners.

You also will get leather seats, i.e. not recaros.

I agree with the others. If you want the coolers ( and you do if you're going to track it) and all the tech stuff you should get a '17. If you don't care about the tech stuff then find a '16 track pack or '17 base car.

One of the other reasons I was looking at 2016 is the color, Deep Impact Blue. I do remember no reading about the trans being different. That just seems odd to me that they would use different trans setup.

So basically a 2017 base is the same as 2016 track pack from what I can, is that right?

I guess I would rather have the Recaro's as well. Another local deal says they are getting an allocation for an R this year. $30K ADM, no thanks. I'll try to find a 2017 base or even with electronics package. Unless I just talk a guy I know into selling me his 2013 SBY LS.

Thanks for all the quick replies and help.
