I wrote this on anther thread..My dealer today said his zone manager told him that ZERO 2016 R's will be shipped until February 2016 (with one exception I guess that Cattlemen ball 1 of 1 car) Is there anyone that confirm that their 2016 R has a VIN and has been built? thanks

I can only speak for myself.........but as an explanation of my choice of white/blue stripes.......back when international auto racing became popular, it was decided that each country should be assigned their "colors" for racing. America was assigned White with Blue Stripes (and also Blue with White Stripes). So to an old-timer, such as myself, it seems only fitting that a "race car", such as the GT350 should be "decked out" in it's country's colors. There was a reason that all of Shelby's '65 GT350's were white.

I post this from another forum so I don't want to speculate. The info is clearly representing what is happening so I'm taking it as adding to what's going on.

I ordered white/blue because it's the color combo that makes my heart go pitter patter. Also, my car was ordered as dealer stock even though I got to pick colors/options. Sales guy at the time said I'd get it faster that way. Turns out he was right.

i would think someone is punching in window sticker numbers and if they come up, then the build date is shown. Mine is supposed to be built one week from tomorrow, oct 21, so i suspect my window sticker will be up either tomorrow or thursday i was told. it seems only the last 4 or 5 of the vin is different and just goes up by one, it would just be hit or miss which ones are ready each day. Mine is 0418.

Mine is order accepted, on Shelby/material hold, no VIN. I haven't heard anything else.

There is an R window sticker posted above with a 10/07 blend date; it may have been built.
