2016 Carplay Issue

My car is currently updated to sync 3.0 and I have also swapped the usb port to the Apple CarPlay device from the dealership. When I plug my phone in nothing pops up. I have currently tried two different usbs, different phones/cords, and have also master reset the radio. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

I use Android Auto, but did you enable the option for Apple CarPlay through the settings on both your device + on Sync?
