2015 vs 2016 fogs

Hello,

Does anyone know what is the difference between 2015 and 2016 fog lights? It looks like the 2016 fog lights are now LED and apparently the housing is different.

Just trying to find some information and couldn't do so via search.

The OP is in Canada so there may have been some changes from '15 - '16. As I understand it, the 2015 EU cars had halogen fog lamps - perhaps Canadian models did as well and they switched to LED for 2016?

Hey, thanks for the info. Those LED's actually don't fit Canadian fogs. I had to buy universal H11 LEDs from DD that fit 2015 housing. However, my friend is saying that 2016 housing, which now holds LED lamp, is entirely different.

The reason why I'm asking is because I wanted to reuse the DD H11's I bought on 2016 because I don't like the way '16 fogs look during the day (doesn't fill the housing and looks like a regular bulb).

I swapped the entire Fog light on my EU 'Stang as I also had a fog light with halogen bulbs.

The fog lights is so ugly in our EU Version, even with a LED bulb, that I removed it completely. Maybe you have the same one on your 'Stang :


Left stock, Right Morimoto fog lights (looks the same as the stock on the US 'Stang)

Thanks for this! I'll double check what mine looks like. I just noticed during day light '16 LED just didn't look like an LED.

Can you post a picture of your Fog light ?

Do you also have the DRL into the fog lights or do you have them in the Headlights with the tri-bar ?

I will once I'm home from work. I'm not sure I understand your question, but I have my tri-bar + fogs running during day time if I recall correctly. At least that's what I had in my 2015.

Yea, seems your 2016 Housing is now the same as they have on the US 'Stang.
