Does anyone know if the Saleen grille will fit the V6? Or the one from T-Rex?

Drove the V6 and the eco today. I have to be honest and say that I liked the V6 a little bit better. The sound and power delivery was better. Of course when I got on it a bit, the eco pulled a little harder. I didn't WOT them as they were new, but got into the meat of the torque. I just wonder if there is a big difference in the MPG's? Both were auto, 3.15 axle. Didn't have any manuals or 3.55's. So, wfpostle did you drive a 3.15 equipped car? Does the 3.55 really make a difference?

I test drove a non PP before I bought mine and definitely felt mine was much quicker when I got it. The biggest difference is that the suspension is much stiffer

My V6 is and auto with 3.55 gears. Yes, it does make a significant difference.

The ecoboost at the lot are likely running 87. It takes a little bit for the computer to know it's using 93. So any test drives are going to be deceiving since the ecoboost won't be showing its full potential.

Doesn't the ecoboost make the same amount of power up to 5k'ish rpms using 87 and 93?

Anyway I'm loving my V6. Wasn't interested in any of the packages so for me the only drawback is the slow start for aftermarket support but it's starting to roll out.

I drove them both and liked the V6 better overall. The 4 definitely had a stronger low end, but I didn't care for the powerband or the sound of it.
Yup. Me too.

Next to the cost factor in my case- it's the sound that really makes the difference. The V6 sounds great and closer to the V8 in my opinion. I heard a V6 with flowmasters and wow it sounded very close to my old LX 5.0 lol Crazy right?

That's what I was thinking...Makes the decision on which one to get that much harder. I guess when I drive the manual that might sway me one way or another. That V6 was nice though!

I like the V6. I wish I had the self confidence to go that route. I keep thinking I'd regret it or be envious of the V8. Not that I can afford either mind you.
That crossed my mind as well, but it hasn't happened yet. One of the vanity plates I am considering is "NOGTNV" :headbang:

My V6/AT/3.55 in Sport mode is way more fun to drive than my '05 GT/MT.

Yes, it is a V6. But it is a:

T H R E E
H U N D R E D
H O R S E P O W E R

V6.

No shame. No shrinkage. No shit!

Using the paddle sifters in sport mode with the 3.55 will get your attention. Hold on!

I've driven all three engines and I prefer the V6 to the EcoBoost. Yes, the Ecoboost is faster and pulls stronger, but the V6 sounds so much better and I prefer its power delivery. I also question the reliability with the EcoBoost engine. With 3.55s and using the paddle shifters, the V6 Mustang is really nice.

Just traded in my 2013 V6 Mustang Club of America Edition, for a 2015 V6, auto, 051a, 3.55. The 2013 was dropped one inch, and had a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust. No changes under the hood.
To say I am impressed with the new V6 is an understatement. Though the 2015 V6 is available only as a base model, I find the interior more attractive and comfortable than the Premium ’13, cloth seats and all.
Stock, the 2015 ride is firmer and more planted than the ’13, and it’s just seems a lot faster low end. All around, I find it much superior to the old model. Beside all that, it’s a really great looking car. Bravo Ford.
wfp:thumbsup:
Yes, it is a shame that the v6 didn't come with premium trim. You miss out on too much with the v6
