Did you ever go with the FRPP twin 65mm throttle body or did you stay with the twin 60mm throttle body supplied in the Roush kit?

While I respect everyone's opinion to "get a lund tune". I'm not exactly asking where I should get my car tuned. I'm more in search for understanding the parameters of the throttle body control, so far the most helpful was whipple. I would have open this thread in a self tuning/data log subforum, but there is not one. Right now debating whether or not to buy the sct x4 pro racer software.

ok i'll answer this question since everyone always wants to pretend all this stuff is super secret. the biggest issue with the 15+ stuff is they use a different TSP sensor then to 11+14 cars. so you have to go into the software and tell it is a different type of sensor. change the voltage slopes on the tps and a few other little things. then you can copy and paste the tb data from a gt500 file and that will get you damn close. then its datalogging and a tuning from there. let me know if i can help.

So if I have this right...

OP: "my car is not driving how I want it to, my tuner can't seem to dial it in, can someone help me understand '15+ pcm tuning?"

Others: "go get a Lund tune"....."do yourself and favor and go with a reputable coyote tuner"

OP: "no thanks, this guy is good and I just need to gather info on '15+ PCMs so he can practice and experiment on my 650hp $35k mustang."

This will surely not end well for your motor.

how is that a fare statement? sure they're dumb dicks out there. but they're also little guys that actually know A LOT. just cause someone doesn't know how to make a tb work doesn't mean he is going to damage the car? guess what. at one time lund didn't know how to tune a tb either.:headbonk:

how did he figure it out? by kelly lending him the car for like 2 damn months until he figured it out. what is so wrong about another guy wanting to do the same thing.

if hes comfortable with the guy then by all means let him take HIS car where he is comfortable. hell you never heard of me but i bet i could tune circles around 98% of the tuners in the county. not every "little guy" is a retard

Now that the 15+ models been around for a bit, the knowledge and experience has grown. While it's a harder than average vehicle to tune, it's not exactly rocket science. An experienced, knowledgeable tuner should be ok. That being said, I'd still personally stick with Lund. The experience and the backing they have as a company would make me more comfortable. But OP seems to have a guy he trusts, and thats ok. He may or may not regret that decision.
