2015 Ecoboost: Check Engine light when low on gas?

Hey guys, this happened to me this weekend, and I was curious if anyone has experienced anything similar.

When I was leaving work on Friday, my check engine light came on when I started up my car. I was planning on taking it in to the dealership today, but when I filled it up with gas this morning (low fuel reminder had come on), the Check Engine light went out.

Is this a known occurrence? Anyone ever experience anything similar when low on gas? For the record, I didn't notice any kind of weird noises or anything, and didn't have any problems starting the car.

Go to engineering mode and see what the code is.

The code will point you in the direction of the cause..........Could be a number of issues on this.:ford:

I started it up in engineering mode and scrolled through but didn't see anything regarding a check engine light or any kind of error code. The light hasn't come back on at all (out of the woods maybe?); does it need to be currently on in order for a code to show up in engineering mode? What screen in engineering mode would typically display the code?

Also, no mods.
