I've read a couple treads on here that said to turn off your track control hold the button in for 5 seconds, well that's totally wrong believe me I went to have my stang dyno yesterday and after several runs each time it hit 4000 rpm's the track control shut the engine down. After contacting someone that knows 2015 Mustangs they informed us that you have to remove fuse 62 to totally disable the track control.

may be different on a v6 then 5.0 v8. I can assure you. 5 seconds and you can spin your tires to your hearts content.

Probably so with the 5.0 you also have a brake button to do burn outs which would probably over ride your track control. You have to remember the V6 is
Ford's step child to the ecoboost and 5.0

The traction control can be completely defeated. Just hold the button until it says advanced track off. Or are you talking about something else?

Why are you pointing to the traction control for this event?
But to turn TC off, you can press it to turn off, but to turn off all the nannies, you press and hold until it displays Advance trac off on your dash. I can confirm, the long hold does and should turn off TC completely.
...but it really sounds like something else like your hitting the limiter, not sure why your thinking TC.
What speed? Engine completely turns off? In neutral parked in your driveway, can you rev over 4-5k?

I don't believe you can rev over 4k in park or neutral on the stock tune.

Got advanced track off every time, started to run the RPM's up each time it got to 4000 RPM's the engine shut down we did this several run's. Found a guy that know's 2015 V6 stangs inside and out said the only way to deactive the track control is to pull the fuse 62. Ford has a safety program in the track control that won't let you turn it fully off with out pulling the fuse.:frusty:

Are you guys driving an automatic? Cause the automatic has a limiter to 4k. The manuals you can Rev all the way to recline without a tune. Traction control will not help you with that

Yes, I totally agree with you, how ever when your strap down on a dyno tune there's different things happening, other sensors interacting so to deactivate the track control from the other sensors you need to pull the fuse 62 when doing a dyno tune reading to see what your RWHP.

Depends what torrie sets it to. I had him set mine at 7500...reason beeing when id shift at 6500 to 6700 (mt) the motkr would spin up and hit the 7k limit making the car bog when i got back into the next gear since the rev limit is controled by the throttle, when you hit the limit it closes, and takes longer than normal to open back uo again...ps i hate throttle by wire lol

7.5k is safe then? Would 7.4k be safer? Do you keep making power all the way through? Do you always take it all the way WOT?

Sorry many questions lol

No i shift at 6500 to 6700. No sense in going past that. But when i shuft the rpm flings up a few hundred rpm. I atribute that to the slow response from the electric throttle, and the super heavy dual mass flywheel

I see. I thought the v6 made signficant power all the way through, till the very end... so for best 0-60s should I be shifting right at 7k (or higher after the redline is raised)? All I have in my v6 MT is a spacer (which doesnt really do anything, other than surprisingly, making the shift from 1st to 2nd smoother). Best time I had was 5.5, shifted around 6.9k.
