2015 Mustang Production / Ordering Schedule

Since I ordered mine on the 9th , retail order , priority 10 , job 2, I dont think I will be getting a VIN until 9/22 .

I ordered on 5/20 and still nothing on mine either. Its ok though. I knew about the wait in the beginning and also knew there would be delays. I just want my car right when it gets here is all. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to Monday so I can have more to read about the car. I think I've read everything there is to read on it at least three times.

Could those receiving a VIN today (and for the next few weeks) please state if your order was dealer stock or retail? It will cut down on the confusion factor, especially for those new to the forum and those who have not researched the scheduling process.

Shouldn't matter either way. I don't know if mine was Retail or Stock. I believe mine started as retail then got switched over to stock so my car would arrive sooner.

It does to those of us with retail orders. It will give us confirmation that Ford has turned on scheduling for that type of order.

That is weird. Post this around the forums. Orders shouldn't of been retail...but if it is. great. gives us hope for the rest of us.

I was the first order at a high volume dealership in central NJ, they sell a lot of mustangs so they must have a good allocation.

Finally got my VIN!! Not sure when I'll go to "In Production", but I'm hoping this week!

It most definitely won't go into production this week, or even next week for that matter. Contrary to what COTUS says in the description, the build date information is not yet showing up on COTUS. You'll need to call the dealer to see if they have a date in the system.

It'll likely be a couple weeks at least until you get to production.

The part I'm curious about is how many VINs were given out. It seems like with the number of people getting them, it's more than just a single week's worth of VINs. But we won't know, until you guys start hearing what your 'Scheduled to Day' date is.

This is still a big step in the process though, now things are flowing and likely getting closer to a 'normal' production time line.
