since they will be assigning build dates soon for retail order cars, where could one fight that specific date on Cotus? will that just appear like the VIN number does?

I've been wondering this, too. Once we get a VIN, hopefully we can see the window sticker. On the window sticker is the Blend date, which is the estimated build date.

But I have run across 2014 orders in COTUS that have "Estimated Build Date" under the VIN on the top left. Is this something that happens for Retail Orders? Because none of the Stock orders have that.

Not sure, cotus only shows me my VIN, I've yet to see a est build date or anything resembling a date. Perhaps with retail orders it'll be different though.

I got my date from the dealer directly.

you got your build date from the dealer? i think they might have been bs'ing you. my dealer is mostly clueless as to what is going on with these cars. i seem to be 10 steps ahead of them.

No, I got my 'Scheduled to Day' date from them, I saw it on his phone when he looked it up for me. So, no he wasn't BS'ing me.

Well, I'm down in the dumps now after checking my order online. My dealer Ted Russell F21222 has put a F250 under the same order code that I have had since May 22.. So of course a call was made to them. They are giving me the old it's OK, everything is good, speech. "We put 3 cars under that dealer order #" I was like OK? Then how is it that a 2015 mustang ordered on June 2. Is in production before mine? No good answers. I love this forum/site so much. Thanks for all the info. & help. But it looks like my dreams of getting a 2015 before the rest of my town is over. :-( I'll maybe just buy a off the lot mustang. This order stuff was new to me and so much fun to watch online. But now I'm so pissed off about this process. I don't know what to do. :-( any advice? I asked for a different #. But no. I can't see my beloved car online. I'm truly heartbroken.
Disappointment, ok, Heartbroken? Its (just) a Car! Your Dog didn`t Die or your Mate didn`t run off with another Partner! I`m awaiting on my 2015 Mustang Convertible which I was finally able to Order Priority 10 on Sept 2. It will get here when it gets here. I assure you, unfortunately, there are bigger tragedies and disappointments facing you later in Life. Cheers. Just put in proper prospective.

I wrote something in response but what's the point of arguing. Let him react/feel like he wants. We choose how we prioritize our own dilemmas. I hope his car arriving late is his biggest problem. I wish that was mine. haha!

My sentiments exactly. I didn`t intend to be cruel or insensitive to his annoyance but simply put it into proper perspective.

Not to mention that until he has a VIN, cotus is useless. You may as well take someone's screen cap of 'in order processing' and put it on your background because it's not going to change.

Once you get a VIN from your dealer, you don't need to worry about what the order number is or how many cars were filed under it, you just use the VIN on cotus and track it that way.

But again, until it gets close to the 'Scheduled to Day' date, it's just going to read 'in order processing'.

This is exciting
hmm me and you ordered same date, and im assuming yours is a retail order. So if logic stands correct ours should be on the same level of completion. Yet on another note. You have a VIN number and i do not. Did you get that from your dealer and then look it up on Cotus? people say cotus wont change from order processing until you have your VIN number. So im now assuming that if i plug'd my VIN number in my car would be where yours is.

Not a single retail order has been scheduled as of yet. Dealer Stock.

For the (I think) sixth time. There is not ONE queue for all orders placed. It's one for every dealer. So when you order is only relevant relative to YOUR dealer, not any of the others. And even then it's not relevant, since priority is how the dealer deals with ordering. Ie, they can put someone that comes in today ahead of everyone else that has ordered at the dealer simply by setting a higher priority (lower number) than you have.

So the fact that you ordered the same time as he did means very very little.
