Ok I apologize. Not trying to go against the grain. Just trying to get some resolution as to what I was told by my dealer. As I said Ford has not released any more info since last Monday. I work at a dealership and I follow this very closely.
The November date is way off from fords 9/9 "goal", unless we're talking about the convertible which should arrive late October early November, assuming no delays for convertibles that is.
Nothing to apologize about , Sir.Ok I apologize. Not trying to go against the grain. Just trying to get some resolution as to what I was told by my dealer.
No worries, take the "Mike Wallace" approach when getting information. Ask yourself and the dealer questions, like if FRAP was delaying production a month, wouldn't CNN know first since there would be a huge layoff right before back to school. There is no one going to let thousands of UAW workers just sit around and not make the 5 oclock news.Ok I apologize. Not trying to go against the grain. You're just the messenger
Just curious as how this one dealer was contacted and told about the push back whole other dealers were left in the dark. :eyebulge:
Yeah I am learning quickly that just because you sell mustangs doesnt mean you know much. Just like me eating a banana doesnt make me a monkey. No worries, take the "Mike Wallace" approach when getting information. And the "My Dealer said" doesn't hold much Mustard unless it is from someone like Risingforce who closely watches the Mustang. Just last week, I was picking up some Ford literature on the 50th LE, when one of the sales managers said, "yeah, it should be a collectible, they are only making 1400 of them" I was talking to the GM at the time who didn't look happy as I was laughing and shaking my head. Not everyone is a Mustangaholic, but managers at the least should be in the know.
Check out the regional thread if you haven't already. There are a few events and a bit of chatter about getting together.Any events in FL
Kinda like my idiot dealer. He told me guard was not a color, I must be looking at the dealer installed accessories and still swears he can't order one. I am not ready to place my order yet so I have not bothered correcting him. With a little luck, I might be able to grab the first allocation even with a late order. But yeah, totally clueless. When asked if he had any info on the new Mustang he just said "no". I was not asking for insider secrets. This was back in may, I just wanted some info. No. Trucks are the big sell here. They don't have a single new Mustang on the lot. And have not had one this year to my knowledge.Yeah I am learning quickly that just because you sell mustangs doesnt mean you know much. Thanks for the stress reliever guys, very glad im on here and we gave true enthusiats backing us up.
It might be good to check what their allocation situation is before you place an order with them. If they aren't selling many Mustangs, they might not be able to get that many orders made available to them.No. Trucks are the big sell here. They don't have a single new Mustang on the lot.
