Sorry for trying to post. Just trying to actually get some attention to that specific info/discussion.
You were directed to this thread because the answers/discussion you seek is already here. :) See the two quotes below that are referring to production startup yesterday...

There will be some MP1 S550's built starting tomorrow but 99% of the production will be CD391 Fusions. They will run their normal two shift schedule.

What happens in MP1 is that they ramp up production incrementally so the line workers can train/practice building the car. Here is when they tweak production ergonomics processes.

MP1 cars will be press and executive eval vehicles.
Production "starts" today, basically they are training and getting people adjusted to the new assembly line. Cars made during this time period will be for executives and upcoming events, most likely none will be for the public market.

Thanks, I'm building a tracker to figure out how many of each are built. It is in another thread. I have all of the transmissions, I get them from ETIS, and the colors I'll get when the window stickers populate, but just trying to get as many as I can now to dampen the anxiety of waiting.

Was WW chosen to honor the 1964½ WW serial number 0001 or because the 1st Mustang sold was WW?

KB was chosen because of Blue in the Oval?

I used to tell the production guys who worked for me "Slow is steady, steady is fast" Meaning you start slow, make fewer mistakes, pass QC hurdles and before you know it your going faster than if you actually tried to go fast in the first place and turn out a better product.
Interesting that they used a similar saying in a series of training classes I took while learning to shoot a pistol competitively.
In the class the mantra was "Slow is smooth, smooth is fast" and it sure worked.
By the end of the training my overall times were less than half of when I started but it actually felt more deliberate due to focusing on being smooth and deliberate.

Same concept, different end result.

WW was chosen for the first color of serial 1 and KB is for "it is a Ford color" from a design engineer

Where did he get that into from ?
Ford has not released any new/additional info regarding the 2015 since the 7/7 conference call. You will start seeing vehicles hitting show room in the first half of September.

I'm assuming since he works for ford the dealer would recieve accurate information but I could be wrong.

I was originally told late september the earliest, now it seems about a month later. I'm not too excited about recieving this car while its snowing out.

As I said Ford has not released any more info since last Monday. I work at a dealership and I follow this very closely.
The November date is way off from fords 9/9 "goal", unless we're talking about the convertible which should arrive late October early November, assuming no delays for convertibles that is.
