I talked to my dealer the other day because every time I tried to check my order status it said it was invalid. He confirmed the order is in and that the status said waiting on materials. No vin has be assigned yet. He also told me that I was lucky to get my order in when I did(May 21st). I had ordered a kona blue manual le. He said the sales manager asked who ordered the limited edition because they wereonly aallocated 1. Lucky me.

Last I heard, my dealer was unable to place my LE order due to material hold as well.

I'm starting to get a bit pissy. I had my order in on day one (5/20), and while I have a VIN, I don't have a build date and the order tracking webpage doesn't even show the correct stuff (even though I've checked and know it's in the system correctly).

It seems that build dates for everyone that ordered after me are being scheduled. I'd really like to have an idea when I'll be able to pick up my car. It's looking more and more like it'll be late Oct / Nov now, even though I was one of the first to place an order.

At least you have a VIN :D.

Mine was ordered on the first day as well and I still have no VIN. My car is a loaded GT Fastback PP as well. I talked to the Ford rep via PM and she hopes I should have my VIN in the next week or 2 at the latest.

The only reason I know I have one is that I called my dealer and had them check in the system. They wrote it down, took a picture and sent it to me via text. If you guys haven't, I'd suggest calling them and having them check the system to see if it's in there.

Thanks, Joe. I did talk to my dealer and no VIN yet (I use both sources for getting information :) ). I am #2 in line for the 15 Mustang at my dealer.

Man, that totally sucks. It's really hard to see people that ordered after we did get VIN #'s, scheduling and even build dates. I'm hoping that it's somewhat FIFO (First In, First Out) when it comes to ordering. I know that's not exactly how it works, but you'd think that the first people that ordered would be at the front of the list for build dates.

Sometimes I wonder If I (and other people on this forum) know more than my dealer knows... They are ordering my 5.0 Premium NEXT week with their "dealer stock." They insist that it will be here late august or early September. So if what you say is true, then even that is incorrect.

Very confusing. I just wished the stories that they are telling people (all dealerships) would line up correctly. As far as I know, I'm #1 at my dealership for a 2015. And I believe that mine is the biggest dealership in Arkansas.

Does cotus.ford.com not show a VIN even though the dealer can look it up? If so, perhaps I'll ping my dealer, not that it really matters, the important part is the scheduling date.

I'm guessing the key difference from what I can tell is that those in the 'stock' orders are getting dates, and those in the 'customer' orders aren't yet getting dates but should soon.

I'm trying my hardest to be patient. I keep repeating "being first isn't always best, let them work the kinks out first, then get one after they get in the flow". But that's more just to make it easier to wait. I don't honestly wish poor quality on those of you getting your cars before me.

Yes, that website does not show a VIN, but one has been generated and I have it.

I hear ya. I don't have anything besides "in order processing" on my tracker site. Which has been saying that for weeks. I ordered on 5/21 but found a better deal and re-ordered on 5/23. I think it's just a combination of reasons that are not exclusive to a if you ordered the first week or second week of the banks opening. I would say dealer allocation makes the difference but my dealer is the biggest in my state so who really knows. All I can say is i'm programming my brain not to care right now. Either way were not getting them until November prob. Although I was told that out the gate by several dealers so I can't act surprised. By the time I get my 2015, my 2014 GT would have been "new" for two years. Lol

Interesting, perhaps I'll ping him.

On a positive note, I had already set my countdown timer on my desktop to Nov1, so hopefully I'm not going to have to change it too much. 120 days and counting.
