Hey Joe, after paying full Canadian whack for my Boss 302, I began to see a lot of US bought cars up here. And those owner saved a tonne of cash. Will Mustang fans be able to buy the '15 as well, with full factory warranty? Dearborn isn't that far away.
I did some ground work for the Canadian buyers. after speaking with my GM we can sell you a 15 GT there will be no rebates or AXZ plan pricing but we will sell them at MSRP. import and transportation would be up to the customer.

Pricing Date??
Its my understanding that on May 20th, or maybe May 24th ( to coincide with European orders) we will be able to go to the Ford Website and build and Price a 2015 Mustang.
Is this a correct statement or just an assumption???
Thx:help::help:

At this point, I'd say that's speculation. I do not think we have any official confirmation that we will be able to build/price a car online on those dates. To my knowledge, at this point we only know that one can go to a dealership and place an order on the 20th.

My dealer just told me that only Le's can be ordered on the 20th. Don't know how true this is.

My salesperson told me today that May 20 was the first date for orders. He did not say it was limited to just the 50th anniversary edition.

This probably isn't really the thread for it, but does anyone know when production of the current car is scheduled to end (if it hasn't already)? I would imagine that it would be soon, as Ford keeps saying 'fall 2014' for when the new car will be on dealer lots, plus they have to retool the Mustang line at Flat Rock and build cars for the media drives.

The info seems to be pretty solid and says 6/20. I think Ford already retooled the plant for the S550 or is in that process of it now. There are already tooling trial prototype cars out there.

For those of you knowledgable then…

If Job #1 is on August 11th, how long after that before they start hitting lots? 3 weeks? 6 weeks?

I'm thinking of ordering in June or July. If I could get a first allocation would I be driving it in late September or early October then?

Thanks for anyone who has gone through this before. :)
Great question, I'm curious as to the answer as well. This timeline has been such a grievance of mine. It's so late in the year and the arrival of the car in October would almost make me want to wait until Spring. It's a tough decision to wait even longer but what's the point of having the car if it just sits in the garage waiting for better weather?
My guess would be a few weeks to a month, maybe longer. I don't remember how long it took the first S197s to hit dealers, but I do remember they held the first of the 2011 cars for like a month or so for quality checks before they let them go to dealers.

Based on the run of the 2005 model (new platform) and the 2010 model (first major refresh of the platform, ahead of the introduction of new powertrains in 2011), the initial quality holds were between 4-6 weeks as I recall.

I have already ordered '15 Mustangs for our dealership. However, pricing isn't showing yet (still being finalized by Ford), but should show up when the order banks "officially" open on May 20th.
Mr. Brian, when you say you ordered cars already, do you mean they are already in line and will get accepted on May 20th by Ford automatically. So say I place an order today, they will be behind your orders? Or on May 20th all dealers will start submitting orders to Ford and that will determine the build sequence? Hopefully question makes sense.

I'm gonna wait till the 2016 mustang. 2015 might have bugs. Remember the new escape? Thing would randomly engulf in flames.
Yes, and remember the 2005 Mustangs?

"Bugs" are common to a lot of brand new models, but one has to be ready and willing to deal with that; I know I am not. The warranty will cover it just fine, but it's not my cup of tea.

Ordering - May 20th

Hello Everyone,

In talking with a few dealers over the weekend I still can't get a definite confirmation on being able to order tomorrow (The 20th) at least in the Northeast. Are there people here that are going to the dealerships to place their order (Non Limited Edition) tomorrow? I visit the site daily and try to keep up but I'll be darned if this still isn't one of the biggest questions (along with price and specs of course....lol)

I have seen the configurator so we should be very close but man am I tired of waiting....Just like everyone else. :frusty:

Thanks!

I was told my a local deal in South Florida that the order bank opens on the 20th. Convertibles can be ordered but will not ship until November. I will be at said dealer tomorrow.
