2015 ordering has been pushed back to May 20th, sorry to say. Job 1 is still showing as August 11th, though.

Any info on the pricing and availability of the 50th limited edition. like which dealerships will be getting them?? Any specific info around Austin area??

Availability has been communicated by Ford to the regional offices (last week), so now it's up to the regional offices to call each dealer one at a time. I got the call last week and our dealership gets one 50th Ltd Ed. Only 1 out of 3 dealers in our region get one, so we're pleased. Your local dealers should know by now if they're getting any.

My local dealer is getting (2). They are ordering one of each color. Thy asked me if I wanted to get one... I said sure. I have bought many vehicles from this dealer so they know I am serious when I tell them sure.

I'm pretty sure RHD is not until 2016. Beyond that I'm not sure but I would imagine the development is still underway and they don't have exact dates nailed down yet.

Ordering Date - May 20th

I've read a few threads about how the first ordering forms will go live May 20th. Just received a call from the one of the managers of Galpin Ford here in Southern California confirming May 20th, as they will start taking orders. I assume pricing and options will be available that day and we can get a real idea of how much this baby finally costs. He also mentioned they are taking a $5000 down payment for any orders. Has anyone called their dealers or have this news and can confirm?

Refundable right? No dealer should be requiring $5000 down. While that obviously is only a small portion of the overall purchase price, that's a large chunk of change for a product you won't see for 4-5 months. I think they're looking to lock in your business by tying up your money with them. If you have the means, go for it, but I'd likely go elsewhere. Just my opinion.... Not that I was asked lol

But to answer your question, haven't received any confirmation from my local dealership and we've been emailing back and forth since dec 5. I check constantly for updates, can't wait!

I did not ask but I'm sure it's refundable. I remember ordering my C7 Corvette 2 years ago from Rydell Chevy and they only asked for a $500 down payment. I ended up not purchasing the car and it was returned within 4 weeks. BUT $5000, for ordering a Mustang???

2-Yes you can use the x-plan to purchase it
3-We will take a $500 deposit and it is refundable if you change your mind.
4-As far as your trade usually edmunds.com trade in value is close. but the value will decrease between now and October due to the book change. Probably best to bring it in a month before the Mustang is due in and have it looked at then the value will be spot on or very close to when you take delivery.

Glad to hear! I did get confirmation late October and early November delivery. Your dealer sounds much more realistic.

The sales man from Cerritos Ford told me late October early Novemeber. He did mention this weird thing that since its a new generation, Ford dealers will be asking for an extra $5k apart from what ever downpayment you give. Maybe he just wants more money though.

Find another dealer.

Or you can send me $5k, I'll put $500 down, pay $1000 to ship it to you when it comes in and pocket $3500. Just let me know.

Why put up a down payment for a car that ford will sell thousands of every month,it will not be a limited run of cars. If sales increase like ford hopes sales will be over 10k per month. Some dealers will try to,rip off people with adm on cars that will be on all lots soon

That's crazy. I contacted Frontier Ford in Santa Clara and they told me I could order a car today, and that there would be a $500 refundable deposit required.
