Yeah, have them print the DORA, it will have the prices for all the different plans, including X-Plan. Then have them circle that one to make it clear that's the one you're buying under. Or at least that's what my dealer did for me when I ordered.Hey thanks for the reply!
I did a lot of research and AM going with the x-plan (I notified them I'd be doing this since I was told to do so before placing my order) and they asked for my pin already, I just wanted to know if they were going to give me anything that said X-plan on it right now or wait until it comes in, because the paper they asked me to sign has the MSRP pricing on it and don't want to sign it if that's going to hold me to that pricing. Sorry about that if it's a stupid question but I'm only 19 here and this is kind of a big purchase for me.![]()
BTW, they don't need the pin at order time, but they may just want to confirm you actually have a pin. The pin is only really needed when they create the invoice at delivery.
I personally would only sign the one that shows the x-plan price and not a generic MSRP. Just ask them nicely you'd like to get a DORA that shows the x-plan price so that you know what you'll be paying when you pick up the car.
Hopefully they're not asking for a large deposit. Some people are getting away with no deposit, but $500 is normal, and $1000 is on the high side. More than that, and I'd likely look for a different dealer.
