Congrats! Curious of how the Adaptive Cruise will work with manual trans.
I know me too. I didn't really give it much thought. It must just disengage if the RPMs drop too low instead of being able to stop the car.

You have good taste dwaleke. I think the only difference between yours and mine is my redline vs your ebony
Thank you. Likewise!

ACC does work with manual. Neither the Auto nor Manual version actually support stopping and resuming automatically. It disables at 12mph/20kph.

How it works is listed on page 153 of the Owners Manual.

Although it's not specific on how it works with a manual. I recall someone saying it displays a warning to change gears if needed.

It does also state that it is best to use a lower gear on downhill runs so you have greater engine braking to prevent unnecessary use of the brakes and overheating.

Question then:

If dealers knew/know stock orders would be built first why didn't more order them this way like they did mine? Yes, I have a great relationship with my dealer, but logically the sooner they get them in the sooner they are out the door, correct?
My dealer asked me if I wanted Stock or Retail.

I chose Retail.

Here's my order (placed 7/26):

GT Premium, Auto
Ingot Silver
50th Anniversary Appearance Package
401A
Adaptive Cruise Control
Voice-Activated NAV
Enhanced Security Package
3.55 Gears
Spare Tire

X-Plan: $41,699

Can't wait!

I placed my order as Retail. When I asked my dealer if making my order a Dealer order versus stock, they replied:
That is not true. The factory picks retail orders before dealer stock orders in the build process. They pick the cars in batches...they select the retail orders first, then add in the dealer stock orders to meet the total number allowed in the batch. We're just waiting for the next batch to start.

Normally that's right during regular production but not for a new models.
Only dealer stock orders are being scheduled & built right now. Retail orders won't start until late Sept.

It's always been that way so either your dealer doesn't know what he's doing or is lying to you cause he doesn't want to use up his allocation.

edit: but then again since you ordered 7/28 it might not make a huge difference in your case.
I'd be more concerned that he gave you priority 19 since typical retail orders are 10-19

I have a priority 19 as well.

Since my order won't be pulled to build until at least 9/11, am I able to call the dealer now and request a lower priority?

I guess what I'm asking is if he is still able to go into the system and change it without affecting anything?

Priority change won't affect anything, it's just the order they schedule builds for that particular dealer. So anyone with a retail priority better than 19 will go first, even if they put their order in after yours.

So if I called today and asked, he could lower it IF he wanted to?

Probably is of my own doing. He asked if I wanted Stock to get it sooner, and I said I preferred Retail so it would be built later (to give them time to work out more issues). So he probably put the latest priority he could.

That makes sense.. sounds like a good dealer & nice of them to offer.

Well in my case there shouldn't be anyone with a priority higher than me, as my dealer said I was the first retail order they placed.

Quick question- On Cotusb the tracker, when I checked it today I realized it had a detailed description of my car on the "Vehicle" column. I may be wrong and just looking for any change at all but I swore that before it just listed "2015 MUSTANG" for vehicle. Now, it lists "VEHICLE: 2015 Mustang GT Premium Fastback." It may have listed it this way for weeks or months but I feel like it just was changed to a more detailed description. It's not a big deal in the least but I am curious if anyone else took notice to this and if so, has it been that way for a while or just recently updated?

Just noticed this myself, there is more dealer info when I search for mine as well. And the options were listed individually and you can click on most when I couldn't earlier..
