2015 Mustang convertibles

Rob00GT, I really don't know what the holdup was. I think I put too much faith in the dealer. I previously bought two other ford vehicles from them, and I have been very satisfied with their service, But I do think they "screwed the pooch" on this one.
One thing I didn't do was to check with other dealers in the area. I definatly should have done that..... Every time I checked in with them, I got the same response..."Ford is not currently taking orders for the verts, but we will let you know as soon as they are".
Anyway, Hopefully I will be cruising with the top down by Feb, I'm in Houston, we can do that here.....

Checked COTUS this AM and "Maggie" is in transit to Colorado. The EDD was changed to 1/7/2015 they say it take 12-28 days depending were it is being transported too. After reading RisingForce's review I'm looking forward to seeing how the V6 compares.

Checked COTUS today and my In Transit "Maggie" went from EDD 1/7/2015 to 1/3/2015, she's getting closer to Colorado.

I`m happy for you. We have almost 2 identical Cars built at the same time. Your goes West and is on its way, mine stuck at FRAP and probably will arrive in Feb, go figure. My last "ordered" Vehicle.

Phil1336, When I placed my order the dealer suggested I put down a deposit, said FORD would consider order sold and might speed up the process, just a thought. Hoping your red toy gets moving soon, you'll be enjoying topless before most of us in Colorado.

Something about the S550 makes it really work well with the top down. Sleeker maybe?

One thing I noticed is they released the weight info for the convertibles finally. I can't really understand why the V6 manual coupe is slightly lighter than the EB manual coupe but it's the opposite for the convertible. Seems like there must be some other differences.

It is because the EB and GT are only available as the Premium models in the convertible whereas the V6 is a base configuration. I guess the premium package tacks on some weight

I did put down a $200 deposit although I didn`t have to. Same Dealership and Salesman X3. Amount of deposit means zero since it was submitted at X-Plan Special Order as indicated on MSRP. A month hold at the Factory means someones went seriously wrong. QC, Paint, Roof leak, etc. No reason a Car sits at the Plant for 4 weeks awaiting release for shipping (unless) there are "issues". Just a gut feeling.....

As much as I wanted to, wife said no. Both kids are out of the house so it's just the two of us. Already have her Focus, an F-150, and a Harley so garage is full.
