Nonsense.... it was not fords error, it was the dealer... dude sold his car which he did not have to... he brought that part up on his own... legally, there is nothing in this except for the dealer to work out some courtesy deal
Dealer needs to rent him a car for free if it's their error.

I plan to use the X-Plan. I used the Excel page that a member provided. So I know exactly to the penny what the expected MSRP/Invoice and X-Plan numbers and total are. If you're spending $30-50K on an item, you should really know what you are paying for. I assume that your dealer/salesperson uses a computerized entry for orders. So you should get a price breakdown and total very quickly.
The A/T is more than $1000 higher than the standard manual. If my order total were to pop up a thousand bucks cheaper/higher than I expected...I would immediately start to check each item line-by-line.

I don't understand why the huge difference. I too ordered back in Sept and haven't even gotten a build date yet. Just got the vin last month. What gives??
VINs get assigned by dealer allocation, not by "first-come, first-served." There are people who ordered their cars in May and won't be getting them until February or March; there are other people who ordered their cars in September and have them already.

Thanks everybody. They are going to cover the first two months of my car payment for the error. Thanks again for the information. Accountability is everything. They made the error. Its only fair to try and rectify.
think they did you right on this...accept their apologies as well as their payment and drive on! :hail:

after reading the horror story one member had with his vehicle in Arizona at the hands of an unscrupulous dealer, your experience with your dealer is a breath of fresh air. :clap2:

read the content entitled "just got a call from my dealer" thread...unfortunately there are unscrupulous dealers out there who covet the almighty dollar over customer service. Thankfully they seem to be in a small minority. In this case, the owner of the dealership interceded strongly supported by members of this forum. :clap2:
