Not sure why some people get bent out of shape over this or why anyone cares what others are paying (other than to make informed decisions themselves).

Buying a car, like driving like, is an emotional experience. If I got lectured for every impractical car-related purchase I have made over the years, I would not be an enthusiast. There is no rationalizing it. Economics 101 also says that a widget is worth whatever people are willing to pay for it so there is no right or wrong, it is just perceived value - and that is like arguing opinions. You get nowhere.

I say kudos to you guys who have bought the LE at whatever price. If you paid a lot, I'm sure it will make you appreciate it and love it that much more. They are going to be real beauties on the road.

You're right there is no rationalizing it. It's all about our hobbies and what we think they're worth to us. :)

Lay of the drugs kid. Who the f is Tom?
He's just joking. He mentioned in another post that he had to let his financial adviser go for giving him the hassle of investing in a car. And he just brought that up because you made the same statements as his financial adviser.

Case closed.

7 months eh?

Hang on to your money , unless she has a dumb lawyer.

There's a whole lot of stuff that I won't make public, but, the short version is, I came out very very good. She is not a vengeful woman and she made the choice.

On eBay it looks like some think around $60k is a fair value for the LE. One auction ended with a best offer accepted (price not listed) but it was under $70k. One went unsold after getting bid up to $60,300.

I wouldn't use eBay as the standard bearer for 50th LE pricing. There are always a few cars for every new model that go for a crazy price on eBay. Many of those deals end up falling through. I think you'll find most go for around MSRP.

I disagree.
When 2007 Shelby came out, MOST of them were sold over MSRP.
With LE being such a low production vehicle , I think most units will be sold over MSRP and those who get it for MSRP or below MSRP should consider themselves lucky :)

Same dealership I getting mine from sold me 07 Shelby, first one in area at msrp. I ended up not taking delivery and they sold it to next on the list at msrp. They do not charge over msrp for in state buyers. One of the many reasons I've been buying from them for 20 years. I didn't even set out to get an LE. I had talked to them the day after debut about specing out one of their initial stock orders for me (which they agreed to). When the LE was announced and allotment announced, they called and offered to me at msrp. I kinda fell into an LE. I almost feel guilty knowing people out there are still hunting. Almost.....
