I got my GT, base, manual, PP model for $4k off MSRP, no charge for the dealer add-on's ($895) and 1.94% for 72 months on mine. Last day of the month deal on 7/31 from a large volume Ford dealer in Dallas. And they came up another $1,500 on my Honda trade to give me what I wanted to close the deal. I also found out later that the protection package ($600) they sell at finance stage and I had turned down was already done to the car before I took delivery ;)

I feel great about my deal and it was EXACTLY what I wanted in color/options/etc.

how likely the chance to get a gt premium PP w/ recaro for 36ish would this be. I think the invoice is like 39k or a base w/ same options for 32k. is that aiming to low?

That is not aiming too low, completely possible. After seeing the additional $1000 off from Ford and 0% for 72 and seeing a GT/PP with the options I went I went ahead and bought mine.

MSRP $42,975 (including freight)
Paid $38,600 (including freight)

That's apples to apples, MSRP including freight to negotiated price including freight. You still may have a "doc fee" $300-$500 and taxes of course.
