Doing some research on the different nameplates that Ford and Shelby have used and the years, this is what I have found. Some of this may conflict because some of the models have conflicting years they were made so correct if known but anyway Ford and Shelby have quite a bit to choose from. There are sub trim levels of some of these too but this would end up being pages long.

Isn't it technically 37 according to Ford/Shelby? This is the reason why they made 37 R's in 2015 to honor the original 1965 GT350R.

I'm old. For years it was 36, but I can't remember if they eventually found out it was 37. I think it was something about an early preproduction didn't get a Shelby American serial number or something.

Many thought there were differences between the GN and GNX when it came to the motors. There wasn’t any difference in actual hp between the two models.

nah, you’re good… It was just to bring up the reference point for all of them that you mentioned, as I was a HUGE fan of the typhoon/cyclone at the time, While I was driving my dodge Omni GLHS
