What is the install effort like on these compared to the procharger?
10-12 hrs, depending on level of experience

So as for the 11-14's with the vortech set up, how did they compare to what were seeing with the procharger system right now? I like that vortech comes with the bigger i/c.

the p1 and v3 head units put out very similar power, just depends on where you want to pulley it

on a base kit, on the 11-14, we usually tuned them on the stock pulley at 580-620 rwhp depending on mods / trans / etc... with a very conservative tune, our goal isn't max effort, our goal is a package that will last the customer a long time.

we will have options to lean on these a little more with the internals being a little better, but I don't plan on pushing customer cars to ridiculous numbers til we've got some time out there on the engines and see what they hold

but I think 650rwhp on a conservative tune would last a long time

race gas and e85 tunes, even more so.

not to say we cant slap at 700wheel right away, but we are at the early stages of these engines

and then we have larger head units as well on our custom packages, pulley up grades, etc..

so many options available.

the vortech kits come with a very large intercooler standard, that's what makes the package so appealing, especially with our package pricing

again, we have dominated the 11-14 market with our custom packages on these cars and I don't see the 15 being any different

I'm always around to discuss your goals / wants / needs and guide you through it.

unlike a lot of places that sell 2 or 4 of these a year, we do 2-3 a week for years and have ridiculous amounts of experience,

When is the Vortech kit supposed to be released to the public? Don't remember if you gave any set dates. And do you have any pictures of what it looks like installed in the 15 engine bay?

Pros and cons of vortech vs procharger?

both systems are nice.

trying to play devils advocate either way.

if you compare the base kits, on the dedicated drive, the procharger is a little easier to install, the vortech will cost less $

the vortech's standard intercooler that comes in that package is also about the same size as the procharger stage 2 intercooler, that can be upgraded on the base package for a little more $$

prochargers stage 2 gives a dedicated drive and the larger intercooler, but you will pay more. Some like the dedicated drive, some don't, so that may weigh in on your decision.

here is our custom package for the vortech
http://www.teambeefcakeracing.com/bfspec2015vortechv3.html

here is our custom package for the procharger
http://www.teambeefcakeracing.com/bfspec2015prostg1.html

both packages included id1000s, a bap, and our custom lund tuning, the vortech is $350 less, if you upgrade to the stage 2 intercooler, which would make the systems very comparable, your about $650 more on the procharger

again, both companies make a quality product, you can't go wrong with either.

I understand the dedicated vs share drive, but what exactly about the dedicated drive do ppl not like? Shared drive can leave you stranded but what's the con about dedicated?

some don't like extra things hanging off the front of the crank

it's just a personal preference
