Where in the Owner's Manual does it explain the temp. ranges for the various colors of the oil. temp. gauge? I could not find it.
It was posted earlier in this thread from it

38-60° C (100-140° F) (low)
61-137° C (141-279° F) (normal)
138-146° C (280-295° F) (warm)
147-160° C (296-320° F) (hot)

Maybe the range is on the PP models. Mine is a GT Premium without the PP. As I asked above, what page in the Owner's Manual, not a posting of ranges here without a page no..

Made a couple of pulls on the highway. Racing. hard riding. Noticed my oil temp rising not in the yellow or red but it was getting close. Is this normal? Is their a oil cooler that I can buy? How do people track on a road couse and not have this problem? Or do they? Thanks

We are working on our oil cooler. In fact we just posted some details on the location if you want to check it out HERE.

Is the oil temperature a real reading from a temp sensor or is in an inferred reading from other engine parameters? I've looked at the Ford parts website, searched here and Googled some, but I see no listing for an engine oil temp sensor. When I hook up my OBD2 reader and use the Torque or FORscan apps there is no listing for oil temperature. This leads me to believe that this value is not real and just inferred. Does anyone know otherwise?

It is an inferred value.
Thats awful, its just a toy gauge then. Id imagine they are using a derivative of LOAD to calculate it. So for you guys that are running larger injectors and MAFS, your temps may show really high due to the skewed calculations because your load is off the normal NA readings (unless that was normalized by the tuner), when in fact they are lower. But regardless if you install an extra or external oil cooler, the factory oil temperature gauge will never show the real effect of the cooler on oil temps.:frusty:
