Anyone know how Ford Racing Performance School got 285s on the front of their 2015 with what looks like stock wheels?

Definitely look like stock GT PP wheels - assuming they're just running a rear 9.5" on the front - that's a little bit small for a 285, but it also looks like they do have a touch of tire bulge.

Many of the FS guys are running 285's up front. It's only one step beyond the recommended range for a 9" wheel. Up to 2 steps larger is not unusual for successful stock/street class autocross cars.

Its not magic, you just mount them up. You'll get some bulge, and your performance results may vary depending on the tire, but the RE71Rs work really well in 285 on a 9".

Those don't look like the Bridgestones, tho, and they might be running the rear 9.5" wheel on the front with a spacer (which would be a smart call for a racing school, to standardize on one wheel/tire for all 4 corners and cars).

Maybe 19x9 all around? They look tucked and the center doesn't look very dished. However the bulge doesn't look extreme. Hard to tell in the pic.

If I remember correctly they run BFG Comp 2s or something like that on their cars.

I checked with them. They run the 9.5 inch pp wheels on all 4 corners. They also use 8mm spacers and arp studs on all 4 corners.

Thanks. That's the answer I was looking for.

You're welcome. I personally used the eibach 15mm spacer+stud kit. It maintains the inner clearance with the stock 9' wheel, and you can avoid open lug nuts since the studs are exactly 15mm longer.
