The dealers who put their chips betting on people paying markups have lost big time. There are over 400 LE's listed on autotrader, (some are erroneously posted) bottom line is nobody is paying some stupid amount, lets say 10-20k. Why not give a chance for someone who wants it, to have it at sticker.

Galpin Ford, whom got the most is asking 30k and are stuck with left over inventory. As I see it now, there's high supply and low demand.
I got my LE for MSRP a month ago. Local dealer wanted 10k over list, bargained them down to 4k over list, then found a dealer out of state ready to sell for list. Local dealer wouldn't match so i bought it and had it shipped from Kansas. If you want one look on autotrader or cargurus and start sending out emails. They are rare, but they aren't that rare. At this point you can probably get one for under MSRP.

Hey guys wanted to update, so I have now sold 4 and I have to say, every customer has been very cool. The most recent one went to a customer who exclusively use to drive AMG and Mclaren. He said the 50th anniversary Mustang was his favorite car in a long time. Every customer I have on these just seems to love them more and more.

I can get you a Kona Blue LE with Auto (dang rare combo) for MSRP here in California if anyone wants it. NEW car--at the dealership.....(no, I do not work for them, I was offered the deal and chose not to go with a 2nd LE).

Now when dealers get say $10,000 over MSRP on a LE, Boss 302, GT500/350 they do split that with Ford don't they- say on a 50/50 basis. I mean Ford increases their Invoice to the dealer with an internal ADM on these hot cars.... don't they?
Can't tell if this was a serious question or dripping with sarcasm?

I don't think you have to sell the cars to us by saying "so and so who only drives expensive cars loved his 50th Mustang more"

I'm in the auto industry. I get the ADM...

...On things like the Ford GT. On a semi rare Mustang? Absolutely retarded. :headbonk:

It's funny how he never mentioned if they sold for the marked up price. I highly doubt they are, as there are tons of em still for sale because stealerships are greedy b******.

I am so thankful that I have a set of beliefs that requires me never to overpay for a car. I'm very angry that my limited edition that's basically a 50k mustang has problems that are unacceptable for a "limited edition, non mass produced" car. I just feel terrible for someone who payed 60 or 70k and they are driving it and it's having issues. Or worse, they chose to store it, and will never find out about it.

Why do you keep saying "non-mass produced" vehicle? It is a mass produced vehicle. Comes down the same line as the other Mustangs.

Well, everybody emphasizes "There are only 1964 made" hence the reason I say "non mass produced"

At the end of the day the consumer pays for the vehicle what they believe it is worth. If that happens to be $10k over then so be it.

I don't understand how so many people in this country want lower and lower prices on everything and yet expect excellent service and high quality products but they complain that companies outsource to keep their costs of production down.

Pick your poison people. Dealerships on the sales side for the most part don't make the kind of profits you probably think they do so when they can make up for some of the loss on one deal over MSRP, I think that's great.

Sorry didn't mean to derail the topic. Good luck with the sale

I appreciate thank you. And as you stated people pay for what they feel it is worth. I personally look at customer service when looking at what I am willing to pay for something.

Every car has potential to have issues, that's why you have both factory warranties and recalls to assist the owner in case of potential issues. Also all 4 did go for over sticker, and every customer is happy. Now I did not try and ask and exuberant amount and I am sure where I work is a factor in this. At the end of the day the real importance though is all the customers are happy. I am glad you felt like bashing dealerships for no reason though, thanks for the positive contribution.

I'm not trying to sell them to you. I already sold 4, I was merely sharing that he was comparing this to his Mclaren MP4C and preferred the Mustang. I thought it was pretty cool that someone who admitting buys a lot of cars for the luxury of it really appreciated everything that came in the 50th anniversary.

So, are you saying that people who pay an ADM or you feel "over pay" for a car have a bad set of beliefs...because thats what it sounds like!!!
