Is the LE eligible for the Ford Extended Service Plan Warranty?

Seems like a while back I typed the VIN into a website for a quote and website told me car was ineligible.

Anybody know for sure?

Anybody bought a Ford Extended Warranty for their LE?

Thanks!

Picked up my LE today and was offered extended warranty at cost. But i turned it down. My mustangs are weekend drivers only and have never needed to use a warranty before.

Yes they are. It was offered to me. I turned it down and they said I can even still add it later (doubt I will though)

i picked up #735 last night - the guy said it was eligible, but i didn't take it. he said I could add it at anytime BEFORE the 3yr factory warranty expired, but the cost will go up gradually as it gets closer to that time.

Can anyone share what kinds of prices your dealers are offering for the Premium Care ESP on their LE?

I know there is a thread in the general forum that gives a lot of links for online quotes, but wondering if LE guys are getting told higher prices at the dealerships?

My dealer was asking an awful lot:
8 Years, 75000 Miles Premium Care w/ $100 deductible = $3495.

After a firm 'No', he dropped it to $2995. Still a 'No' for me.

I paid ~$2400 for my 4X4 Dodge RAM LIFETIME / UNLIMITED MILEAGE warranty. (Yes, I'm aware of the limits and that it is not a truly 'forever' warranty, but it is way better and way cheaper than the 8Yr/75000 Ford is offering me now).

I think the guy was just taking us for suckers because we paid ADM on the Mustang.

The LE should not cost any more to get an ESP.

Those prices seem insane. My GT costs 46k. I got a 7yr 100000 premium care ESP with $50 deductible, 1st car rental plus enhanced car rental and the light coverage for $1515.

My Dealer was talking $1800 and said if I waited until the end fo the 3yr/36k to buy, it MIGHT cost $3k...

Called around other dealerships and was able to get 8Yr / 75000mi PremiumCare for $1495.

I'm very happy with that price.

Still a little bitter that my original dealer tried to charge me double that price!
