The interior looks really great except for those funky door panels. Sitting in a current Challenger feels better than a current Mustang. The car is still way too huge though, but that 8 speed auto is really nice and you can get the 6.4L Hemi as an option now that the Hellcat engine will go in the SRT model. :headbang:

They did a great job with those interiors, and the Charger looks pretty good too. Definitely carrying the overall Dodge design theme that's shared with the Dart. I wouldn't mind driving one of those Challengers for a weekend.

So when people complain that the Mustang has too many cues to the Fusion(which gets its cues from the Evos concept), you can still say it's a good looking car.

It'd be great if the Challenger dropped 600 pounds, but it's impossible. It's even more obese than the current Camaro, or the iron block GT500. And remember that whatever the upcoming supercharged V8 makes, it's still got to haul around this huge weight (and attempt to put some of down thru the skinny tires).

The HP # doesn't make any difference, it's the weight to HP ratio that counts.

The next Challenger is *years* off, and Fiat has been changing plans about as quickly as Italian governments used to fall. A new platform for the Challenger is currently thought to be a shared Alfa platform, and it's 4 or 5 years off - assuming they stop dithering and start developing now.

So we're getting a couple of really minor changes to the Challenger now, minimal investment, but all the basic problems are still there. Antiquated E-class chassis, heavy as heck, and really skinny tires.

I like the interior changes but the exterior is still long in the tooth on both models.
