Hi everyone, My trans broke( OD clutch) so I can no longer shift into 4-5-6. So I got replacement from salvage car from 2017 and my car is 15 mustang gt. Will I need to reprogram anything? My car is whipple so its tuned already so do I flash back to stock before and then reflash after the install? I read that you dont need to do any programming for the transmission if its from same generation. Please let me know

Arent the engine and transmission are controlled by the same computer? A replacement transmission will communicate shift times to the computer and adjust the valve body flows and pressures to "teach" the transmission's shift performance according to your existing tune.

If that's the case, should I flash the car back to stock before removing and replacing the trans and then reflash after its done?

If I read John S's post cirrectly, you don't need to do anything. The computer already speaks to the transmission and uses the same parameters as the failed unit.
