I don't know if it's been mentioned but another point to anyone saying this is a non issue. If my Tech pack car was not designed for and is not capable of being "tracked" then why is there a driving mode that says "Track"..... Right there is the key if anyone wants to start a class action lawsuit....

Has anyone posted comments on Ford websites or social media pages? We need to start a viral campaign.[/Q

Not that I know of. Do you have links for these sites? I agree we need to have an organized campaign.

You have to reach out to the 3000 other owners that are not on this forum.

I agree we need top start thinking about a class action law suit and I will be on for that. I think we need to wait a little longer and if no fix comes go for it. Everyone needs to keep calling FP and let them know we are getting serious about the situation.

I can't believe we're still out here discussing and trying to find solutions to our base/tech cars when in fact it should be up to Ford to step up to the plate and help their customers that paid the big bucks for the most track capable Mustang ever.

We are given the same run around every month and still nothing after all this time. This is so frustrating to say the least. :frusty:

My trans hit 260 degrees yesterday on a perfectly fine 80 degree sunny day.
Drove about 25 miles on and off highways with some spirited driving.
I agree. I am not interested in fixing this problem myself. I sure hope it doesn't come down to that. This is Ford's problem and they should fix.

Then we start paying tens of thousands of dollars to force ford to fix something that costs thousands of dollars each.

Don't know if this has been mentioned or if it might help. The 13 boss LS has a scoop under the trans that cools the trans. These scoops can be purchased from Ford performance. I'm sure this won't be a simple bolt on. But with a few mods maybe it might fit. Has anyone tried this? If it keeps the temp from rising above limp mode it might work for limited track time. Since I now own a boss I've been reading about these scoops for keeping the trans temp from overheating. It's worth a try or maybe ford has more info on this scoop. Just my two cents and I was involved with this issue also. Ford needs to help current owners for sure.
Somewhere there is a thread by a guy who tried this as well as adding heat shields between the cats and tranny ... neither helped according to him.

Interesting that no Ford Service people (who monitor forums) have weighed in recently on this issue... Guess it's understandable when we start talking about a class action lawsuit but IMHO, their absence just reinforces the ambivalence and lack of transparency from Ford on these issues.

My size doesn't fit these seat belts height wise. No matter how I move the seat, belt in the holder or not it cuts right into the side of my neck. If I have a polo or similar shirt on, it isn't bad as I can put it under the collar of the shirt, but wearing a T-shirt it is annoying to drive with the belt on.

Anyone have a similar issue? Fix??

I think a lot of the issues stems from the fact that the Pre Tensioner is tight. It is really pulling back hard all the time. Which, being the car that it's in, is prob a good thing.

I posted on..... Ford social media ......my experience with limp mode with the 350 tech car I owned and sold after 500 + miles . I told them not a happy customer and won't be coming back any time soon. It's not that I bought the wrong car .....it's that ford built the wrong car for sprited driving on the back roads. Not talking about track events. I'll help anyway I can. Personally I'm not pissed because @ least I got my money back. Luck had a lot to do with it and timing. But this should have never happened in the first place.

Ford will most likely respond when the cars show up in large numbers for warranty claims.

If you have people here talking about the issue but they dont see the cars in the dealers for issues nothing will happen.

Thanks for posting this info, Mike. Impressive list of Fords you've owned. Did you buy the new ones from the same dealer? If so, what was their response when you told them you wouldn't be back anytime soon? Lastly, did you get any response from posting on Ford social media?

No response yet from ford social. In order to buy @ MSRP I had to go 100 miles outside Atlanta. The local dealers don't care if I'm back or not. There's a ton of ford dealers around the Atlanta area. They stick together on prices. Ive found Jim Tidwell in Marietta to be the best to deal with.

I registered on social.ford.com and it looks easy to post on. I hope we can get all interested members on 6g mustang to also register. I have not made a post yet. How do you and others think we should start this campaign?
