Dunno tired of people crying when MOST of them should of known better and in the process IMHO WAY over blowing the limp mode issues on the tech pack to the point its pretty common knowledge with everyone I talk to.

Im a car guy. I like this car. At 50K the GT350 is a hell of a bargain.

how did you...!! :D

I know I come across as a dick. I hope ford releases a solution for the tech guys. And if the Tech over heat on the street get the facts together and bring them to Ford.

I still laugh at people who chose cooled seats over the track pack KNOWING they would track their cars.

In the end ill support car guys to the end!!!! If the tech guys need help putting together a solution id help I know places you can get preterminated(pretty sure thats not the right word) hoses with AN fitting a hobb switch for temp and they should be all set!! Though priming a pump is always a challenge

Maybe some one should get ford to say adding a cooler to a Tech WONT void the warranty

Im a computer guy im always on..

Just to be clear, Ford's original packaging of the GT 350s was based at least partly on past information from buyers and marketing clinics from potential buyers before deciding what equipment to offer in each configuration.

Unfortunately, the real world didn't match the research after deliveries began, with a larger-than-expected number of buyers taking Techs to the track. When Ford saw that deviation from the original marketing plan, they changed the packages for 2017, because all the parts were already on the shelf. If the change would have required new parts, it could have taken 2 or 3 years for a fix. (If I had been making the decision, all GT 350s would have gotten all three coolers, just because the GT 350 in any form is such a heat-producing monster.)

Now all we need is an OEM fix for the unexpectedly high number of '16 Tech owners who are tracking their cars.
Sorry but I disagree 100% with this characterization of what happened. The problem is not that tech/base owners took their cars to the track. The problem is that Ford said the GT350 was the most track capable Mustang ever made.

If Ford had said that only the track pack cars can handle performance driving and the other versions are not capable of driving on the track - or even fast on the highway on a warm day, then there would have been no problem. People would have known which options to buy. Ford would have had to be that specific and that clear, though. Most people don't expect a manual transmission or rear diff to get too hot and limit a track outing. It just doesn't happen on 99.99% of cars out there.

With only 5000 GT 350's produced not having all three coolers was a mistake.
I agree.

No other mustang goes into limp under such relatively undemanding conditions.
Yup!

No you come off as if you either don't read or don't comprehend other people's posts. Forgetful or something? I dunno what it is.

I understand.

Listening to owners reading documentation its a really hard case to say Tech package people where mislead any more then any advertisement on TV is misleading. This is at 60k purchase some basic research is expected. The very first owners may be exceptions. But even if OWNERS didnt know is VERY clear Ford new Techs would over heat. Its in there owners supplement, its on the document with the car track alignment settings, its in their press release.

I dont think this approach is the best way to get a response from FORD. Either you get a list of ever tech owner throwing LIMP on the street(and I mean street not someone recreating track conditions on the street).

Or you demonstrate a demand for a retrofit kit. Because to be realistically I bet if they release one they will not sell many.

Edit: The guy in Germany is in a shitty position, I dont know if the car is sold in germany or is they are just imported. Maybe he can bitch enough to get them to buy the car back

Im glad you erased the personal attack. What are you adding?
We still don't care what someone with "no dog in this fight" thinks. Reading people's issues I relate, but then I see that you are posting almost every other time in this thread. Like it's your personal mission to convince use we are wrong. And just so you know...ford is legally responsible for its advertising.

If this went to court, we would just show the jury the marketing that said "most track capable mustang ever". Then show the lower trim Mustang GT beating it on a track. That's a lot more powerful than Ford calling you to say "well they should have known"

Had to give Isaac (FP) a phone call yesterday about my Shelby owners supplement that got shipped to the wrong adress, anyways i asked about the trans cooler kit we've been hearing for so long and here's what he had to say about it.

Regarding the trans-cooler kit from FPP, it should be coming in the near future. The cheaper route would involve getting the radiator kit, and using an external oil pump like a Weldon 9200; although we suspect some people will want a full OE approach, and have the GT350 R / Track Pack transmission with the internal oil pump.

They suspect correctly on the OEM solution. Thanks Montreal for the news, back to patiently waiting. Appreciate the update though. I'm assuming the differential cooler kit might come later? I would hate for the trans cooler kit to come out and then people start having other kinds of failures fleshed out as a result.
