I dont know what that even means?Disagree. Either it can perform or it can't and it can't. 526 hp and 8200RPM should be able to out perform US streets. Period.

It means that the car is made to handle more than 55-75mph...or should be.I dont know what that even means?
Why have a car with a 8250 red line and not be able to use it for extended time above 4000 in any gear. Extended time once warmed up is 4 minutes on the Autobahn and maybe on your back roads also. I know of a situation where the ford engineer witnessed limp mode. The engineer went back to Detroit and 6 days later the owner was informed to shift the gears more often. :headbonk:The key question is, what should be the basic performance capability of a base or tech? This is not specific to track, as the car went limp within 3.5 minutes on the Autobahn and did the same on a back road in Canada. So, again, what should the car be capable of (without coolers)?
Lets have a conversation based on data. I know its easy to think there are a bunch on Techs going limp on the street but I dont think that is the case. It seems like you have a couple go limp on the street(maybe) and a bunch hitting limp on the track. It means that the car is made to handle more than 55-75mph...or should be.
You're arguing for the sake of arguing. When you bring a tech to the Autobahn and get outperformed by supposedly less capable European markes, then we'll have a conversation. The car limps when others are just getting started. It is what it is.Lets have a conversation based on data. Some one mentioned the guy in germany and some guy in canada(I know canada has a road you can do very high speeds on)
Im sorry to call bullshit , but bullshit Its not reasonable to expect you 50k car maintain top speed for extended periods of time just because it has 520 hp. The only REAL difference here is ford has limited the heat it will let you run to prevent damage where in other cars youd run the high heat and reduce the life of the car.Why have a car with a 8250 red line and not be able to use it for extended time above 4000 in any gear. Would you be happy if ford removed the temp cap and let you run as hot as you want? real question. You're arguing for the sake of arguing. A sports car shouldn't get hot in 3.5 minutes. My other cars don't and they live on the Autobahn. Fact--not question.Would you be happy if ford removed the temp cap and let you run as hot as you want? real question.

Why are you thinking @ all. One fact from what I have been told ...once the car is warmed up.....hold the engine @ 5000 rpm in third gear on a Road or track for more then 5 minutes and it will go into limp mode. Mph has nothing to do with limp mode.
Autobahn limp was in 5th gear.Lets have a conversation based on data. I know its easy to think there are a bunch on Techs going limp on the street but I dont think that is the case. It seems like you have a couple go limp on the street(maybe) and a bunch hitting limp on the track.

Can any tech owner vouch for this?Lets have a conversation based on data. I know its easy to think there are a bunch on Techs going limp on the street but I dont think that is the case. It seems like you have a couple go limp on the street(maybe) and a bunch hitting limp on the track.

Volvo and 330i. Where have you driven your cars? What are you other cars?
I'd to realize that the GT350 produces a lot of heat no matter how you drive and I'd expect Ford to engineer the car to Handel the heat and I don't expect ford to remove coolers just to hit a price point that only accounts for a limited number produced.Im sorry to call bullshit , but bullshit Its not reasonable to expect you 50k car maintain top speed for extended periods of time just because it has 520 hp. The Veyron has a top speed of 200+ and has like 16 radiators? But you expect your 50k ford to do top speed with out them?
ME :lol:Can any tech owner vouch for this?
