Today I've been driving around for about 45 minutes of regular driving (60% Highway, 40% City). Now that I can monitor my trans temp it hit 198 during this drive. It's a sunny and muggy 94 degree day. The trans heats up slowly (started at 88 degrees), but it keeps on going up unlike the engine oil and cylinder head temp that rise quickly then stabilize. I'm cooling it down now for a 1/2 hour to see how much it drops. Yesterday I hit 212 doing more spirited driving.
