Ok someone is lying here. I just finished reading Car and Driver article about the new Camaro. From the factory, crank horsepower the car makes 455hp, dyno at the wheel the car made 431hp. The car only lost 24hp from the crank to the wheels? Is the Camaro making more horsepower then advertised? As we all know the coyote makes 445 at the crank but at the wheel I think I made 383hp stock, I lost 62 hp from the crank to the wheel and the Camaro only lost 24? something cant be right. Right?

The ball park drivetrain loss is 15%, so losing ~60HP on a ~430HP crank HP is not out of line with the figures you share

Right I understand the loss. My question is why does the mustang lo4se so much hp at the wheel and the camaro doesn't? Is it because camaro is a pushrod motor and the mustang is overhead cam? Idk Im just throwing out thoughts that are probably wrong lol.
