So far, its been a great unit. Granted I've only used it a handful of times, but after a weeks driving the car looks pretty damn dirty, and with purely just the pressure washer pre-rinse, it will blast away even the most stubburn bugs and road dirt. I've found 1600PSI 1.3GPM to be plenty enough for car cleaning.

Yep I got it at my local Lowes store. I'm no pressure washer guru, but I thought I'd give the electric pressure washer a try. Whilst it is not as strong as the more high power gas engine'd units, it still has plenty of power. I bought it purely based on the online reviews, which were all excellent.
Good to hear.

Thanks

I've got the detailing bug now, so I will be continuing to improve the aesthetics as much as possible :)
I'm doing my DIB this weekend...just had for a week so far. I have noticed that after a quick wash, dust shows easily on this color, which is just a reminder to keep her clean!

Nice job man! I think I'm going to pick up that same power washer. Never used an electric one before, are they loud at all?

Absolutely! My previous car was black, and that looked dusty just 3 days after having a full detail. This DIB color isn't quite as bad as black, but certainly needs more upkeep than alot of the other non-metallic colors. Like you said, just gives you more incentive to keep her nice and clean!

Honestly its not too loud at all. My leaf blower on the other hand...that requires ear plugs otherwise you will have a ringing in your ears for about an hour after you finish using it :D

A nice feature is that the motor starts and stops 'on demand', meaning the motor will only kick whilst you are squeezing the trigger on the spray gun. Saves having the thing constantly running whilst you are re-positioning, moving between washing different areas etc.

DIB is such a good color to detail...the metallic paint looks simply awesome with a good wax!

What are your detail plans after you receive your new 'Stang?
