As far as I'm concerned the turbo Camaro is said to go head to head with the v6 2015 mustang and the Eco boost mustang go against the v6 Camaro but hey I could be wrong.

Exactly. That's what they were meant to do.

It seems some people think that they were supposed to be equal per amount of cylinders which isn't true... However, that 8 speed auto could possibly surprise everyone. I'll believe it when I see it.

That being said, either platform you're going to be able to do more with the turbo 4 than the V6 for less $$$.

I think a lot that are buying the V6's don't care about tuning. I think Camaro did a smart thing by just going 4-6-8. Plus their V6 just got Top 10 engines...so did the Coyote...missing is the LT1....

But seriously, wondering if Cobb or what other popular tuners will support the camaro turbo. Also as Glenn G talked about, if chevy is gonna choke the turbo camaro with a crap tune and parts. Especially since they placed it below the V6.

I'm back on the stock Ford tune for the winter, it's so awful. -_-

Well obviously. I'm a Camaro guy but the Eco is better than the 2.0. But the V6 is better than the Eco

I feel sorry for any Camaro owners who pay extra for the V6. All you have to do is look at the ATS to see that the 2.0t will be walking all over the V6 with just a tune.

I expect that a bolt on and tune 2.0t and Eco will be similar but with a distinct edge to the Eco. That extra 300cc represents a 15% bump in displacement which is huge when turbochargers are in play. Speaking of turbos the Turbo in the ATS is tiny. It will be out of breath on the top end worse than the Eco but a full bolt on and tuned V6 version of either car will have been left behind miles ago. In this hypothetical 4 car race The Mustang V6 owner can be content in the knowledge that he came in last but has the least expensive car. The Camaro V6 owner will just be left wondering how the most expensive car there came in second to last. The 2.0t Owner will be happy to have smoked his more expensive brother and the Ecoboost driver will be enjoying the victory in the second cheapest car in the race.
like I said before, by making it more expensive than the Turbo, they made it the suckers buy. Since most Camaro fans (and more than a few Mustang fans as well) are more concerned with cylinder counts, stock vs stock bench racing, and being able to look down on lesser trim levels, I expect the V6 Camaro to sell well at first. At least until Cobb releases the Camaro accessport.

Will wait patiently for a Camaro fan to say putting a blower on a V6 is equivalent to putting an intercooler and tune on an Eco .

The only problem I have with this is that someone who doesn't want an SS yet wants a little more HP than the standard 4cyl who will never mod their car won't care. They'll have a little extra HP and be happy.

Other than that I agree. 4 > 6 on both platforms.

Yea that LS FWD conversion kit cost might be expensive. Hahaha.

Oh well. It will be paid off in three months.

Edit: I do still want to do an LS swap to a 240sx. :drool:
