Need to get that 60' down! Nice times though.
I'm getting a converter and 3.15 gears(if I could find the damn things, anyone know where to get some?) put into it soon. I'll be ordering suspension parts some time this month too. Shocks coming next month.

My goal is to have a consistent 9 second car before I take the engine out and forge/sleeve it.

Maybe we can trade rear ends? I have 3.15 and I want 3.55....I run at OSW all the time

I think you will regret the change to 3.15's unless you are concerned about rpms/mpg or 1/2-1 mile racing. For the 1/4 I think 3.55's are superior. You can go fast on 3.15's not saying you cant, plenty have done it, but in most cases 3.55's would be faster IMO.

shhh lol

3.15's and a 25.5" tire are MONEY
3.55's will just allow you to run a taller tire so it looks better

3.55's are only faster if your car traps over 138-141, all depends on your rear tire diameter and rpms. I have 3.15's and a 28.8" tire, 7800 rpms gets me to 140, which means only 2 shifts (1-2 & 2-3), I trap 134'ish. A 3.55 shifts into 4th at 124, 1 additional shift through the qtr. I do believe that 3.55's are faster through the 8th but then the 3.15's start to stretch their legs. I'm a believer that the extra shift will lose et, but I could be wrong, or it might not matter at all.

The cast iron casing with a Welltrac and a 3.55 are in my near future.

I ted to disagree on the extra shift loosing much ET, I think the 3.15' might trap higher but I think the 3.55's will ET better in most cases. Look at smokinzx14r's ET's with 3.55's and mid 5xx rwhp.
