19 OEM Wheel Question

Came back for a drive today and noticed on my back left wheel the pics attached. No other wheel has this, and I don’t know when it might of showed up. What’s weird is if something got logged the line is so straight it’s doesn’t seem possible. The irony is I was about to get a forged wheel setup until I just got a purebred German shepard puppy so now have to wait on funds for that.

I have the exact same thing on one of my rims from a pebble between the caliper and the rim. There is quite a few threads where this is shown and discussed.

This. There are a couple threads about it. It is a known problem. Some people go to aftermarket wheels so the clearances would be greater and stop something like this from happening during DD driving. If I remember right, I think someone has the same issue while driving on a track day....

Black sharpie is a simple fix. Work over the wheel weights while you are at it......

As others said, it's a rock stuck between brake caliper and the wheel. I noticed a year ago on both front wheels when changed Cup2s tires. I just ignore it, no reason to repair it every time rock gets in the there.

Since we are both in or near Atlanta, if you want to get it fixed, I used Wheel Medix 678-500-5436. They repaired/repainted my Wife’s Cayman rim after bad curb rash. I can not find the repair, and the cost was only $130.00. Jamey Rosnagle did the work in my driveway.

If you really wanted to get crazy you could put body filler in the groove prior to painting it. I never had this happen to my factory rims, but it did happen to my winter rims. I just ignored it.
