I'm currently looking at going with 18x10 wheels when the time comes. I'm wanting the biggest tire I can fit at stock height in order to fill the wheel well. I have no plans to lower the car, and I don't do auto cross, so rubber band tires are not in my future. I prefer the look of meaty tires as well. If anyone can advise the best offset and tire size for 18x10 meaty tires to sit flush with no rubbing, and not require any spacers, it would be greatly appreciated.

285/40/18 Would be ideal, and very similar overall diameter to the stock tires size. Though there are really not a lot of choices in that size.

You're going to have a hard time filling the wheel wells with 18 inch wheels. You'll probably need 20's without lowering. From the factory there's probably a 2ninch wheel gap on the 275/40/19 pirellis. Changing to a 20 would negate .5 of that, and then you'd need to probably fill another .75~ of the gap, probably a 285/40/20 or 295/40/20 if they make those sizes. 18's will have a hard time filling the stock wheel gap.

I think he's trying to feel the wheel well with tire, not wheel.

A 285/40/20 is almost 2 inches larger in overall diameter, and besides throwing off the speedometer quite a bit, it may rub depending on wheel offset.

But I do agree that 20's usually look better! But that's only my opinion ;)

Fair enough on opinions on wheel size, but I'm not overly interested in 20s. I'm looking for meaty tires on a smaller wheel in 18. I don't need to completely full it up, I'd still like to be able to turn and drive without rubbing. I want wide with some meat on the sidewalls, on an 18x10 wheel and not having to lower the car. And yes, c reber, I'm trying to fill it with tire, not wheel.

I love this look, but these are 17" drag wheels and the fronts are skinnies.
