'18 GT Premium, 400A with navigation. Started the car this morning and the center display/touchscreen stayed black. Was working fine yesterday (and for the 8 months I've had the car.) Tried stopping/restarting the car a couple of times, hoping it would spring back to life, but nothing.
However, I do notice the following details about what functions still work/don't work:
When I shift into reverse, the rearview camera display works as normal, including the graphics. So the physical screen is still capable of showing an image; it just seems to be the Sync interface/screens that are dead. Also, the steering wheel audio volume buttons work, but not the mute or tuner buttons. The "manual" HVAC controls still work. Voice commands don't work. I'm on the original Sync 3 version the car was delivered with, in May '18. (Everything worked so I saw no need to update it.)
Is there a handy way to reset this? The Master Reset procedure I found online cleverly requires the system to be working in order to access that command. Haven't had time to try the old disconnect/reconnect battery, and I'd prefer not to lose all the settings I have in memory...
