It was £140 may have increased to £145, so it is that low
i meant the upper figure at 480 its not i think without going to dig out the letter from the filing cabinet mine was something like 586 last october for 12 months.

yea you can be unlucky like mine it was sub 40k but because it was registered end of May 2017 and Ford adjusted the official price mid may and it was over 40 k I have to pay the extra amount for five years and the DVLA wont change it unless i get a letter from Ford with all the covering documentation of Price of my car and the price increase , so FYI not all have the lower tax

What happens if you SORN a car during years 2 to 6 during the winter months ?

Do you completely dodge the tax payments for those months or do you still owe the additional 2 to 6 year top up payment ?

no idea i dont sorn mine in winter months but i would imagine you still pay it as its not really road tax its a tax on value
