Great to meet up with you all on our 1st McMustang Meet - bring on the NC500

George, thanks for organising a great day and an especially good job on the weather. Oh, it didn't rain on the way home so the roof was down until we reached Lancaster when we stopped for more petrol. Sue got to drive home from part way over the Woodhead Pass since it was like being down a mine wearing my sunglasses (normal glasses broke on the way up to Scotland which meant a weekend wearing sunglasses).

The stats for those that are interested left home 08:30 Saturday and got back 22:30 Sunday having covered 707mls and the trip elapsed time was showing 15 hours. The unpleasant bit was 109.47 litres of fuel.

Will have to get the pictures from Sue's phone tonight.

A couple of photos from the drive up on Saturday

Our parking skills were 10/10; this was later revised to 0/10 since the guys arranged things in the wrong colour sequence. Following guidance from our female companions we left in the correct sequence - ruby, black, race red, black, ruby.

Not a good quality photo but thought this may attract some comments. Is that an ecoboost getting passed by 2 cyclists? I know I should have gone for a V8!

Hills and bends meant getting a good photo of all the cars on the move proved to be too much of a challenge.

Yes, not perfect but following our initial failure we tried a convertible in the middle between 2 red and 2 black. No matter Rest and Be Thankful always generates some good photos.

George's excellent choice of lunch stop.

Finally, the trip reading after a 2 day break.

Thanks to everyone we met for making a memorable weekend and if this was the trial for the NC500 then July cannot arrive quick enough. Great cars, great people and great driving.
