In my opinion, the '13/'14 taillights were damn near the best taillights I've seen on any car. By far the best on all the mustangs. Ford made a HUGE mistake note keeping these taillights. Don't get me wrong, I think the new lights are kinda nice and certainly better than anything before '10, but '13/'14 taillights was one my most favorite things about that car's body style. (OMG Ford what were you thinking?!) But any way, I'm definitely trying to keep an eye out for a mod that will give that style tail light to this MY mustang. Is anyone else interested in this or feel the same way?

Any way all that being said, this mod cant come out quick enough for me. Honestly I'm seriously considering fabricating this mod myself once I'm done hurting from the initial purchase. If I do I'll post pics and if you're interested (similar to Zombie and his vinyl mods) let me know. I've never modded a car before other basic speakers and a radio, but I plan to make this car VERY personal and my keepsake/heirloom, so if I do fabricate something my self, you can count on it not being a piece of crap I promise. And i gaurantee, no cutting wires! (because i wont be)

Everyone has their own opinion, and if we all agreed we would all be driving while civics. That said, I detest the 13/14 tail lights. That's one reason I didn't trade my 11 in on an auto (other being I heard of a 15 ground up redesign so waited for it).

So, you wish they wouldn't have changed and I'm glad they did. Two sides of that coin. I love the 15 tail light execution. One of my favorite parts of the car.

The 13/14 tails are both cool and gimmicky. That design just wouldn't translate well to the S550 IMO. Too distracting, less mature, less clean, less sculpted.

But to each their own I guess.

I can respect those opinions from the two of you. Thanks for responding.

Maybe its because I'm young but I love the look of 13/14 tail lights and was one of the reasons I almost DIDN'T wait to get a 15. However with companies like Raxiom out there its almost a guarantee there will be an aftermarket for your taste. Also look at the thread for the SEMA cars, I forget which car exactly it was but the light blue one has nice darked out tail lights on this model that we might be finding on the aftermarket soon.

I also LOVED the 13-lights... Was a bit meh at the s550 tails at first but they've really grown on me - and (as alluded to above me) I'm not sure that design would fit the s550. Would love to see avoid mockup though :)

The 13-14 lights look great ON THE 13-14. They would look weird on the 15 imo. OP, I would have someone photoshop what this would look like before going thru with it and ending up with a Frankenstang.

I'm OLD (71) And I Love The 13/14 Rear End And Hate The 15 Rear + a
lot more of the mess I see inside and outside.

I suggest you SAW off The REAR of the 15 and SAW off the REAR of a
13/14 and SLIDE the 13/14 INSIDE of the OPEN AREA of the 15. NOW
you just FILL IN WITH BONDO AND TAPER TOWARD THE REAR TIP OF
THE NEW 13/14 REAR END YOU JUST INSTALLED and BINGO, YOU HAVE
NOW WHAT FORD SHOULD HAVE DONE.

NOW PLEASE RIP OUT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND INSTALL THE 13/14
PANEL and that will be a BIG MOVE IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION FOR THE
2015 MUSTANG.

I traded my 13 DIB for a 14 RR V6 on 9/23/14 BECAUSE I DISLIKE the 15.

BUT TO EACH PERSON THINGS CAN DIFFER GREATLY. THANK YOU!
